Children's Ministry

Welcome! Our goal is to help our children become true disciples of Jesus Christ by being relationship building, scripture teaching, experience making leaders of Christ.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these".  First United Methodist Church takes great care to help nurture our little ones in a relationship with Jesus Christ and our children.  The entire congregation has a responsibility to support, teach and guide the children of FUMCPM into the way that leads to faithful lives following Jesus Christ.  There are weekly activities, along with quarterly outings, yearly trips to Camp Glisson, confirmation retreats and so much more!  To learn even more contact Director of Children's Ministry by clicking here Children's Minister.

Children are engaged in biblical lessons by participating in songs, crafts, skits and stories. This offers a variety of ways for children to experience God and grow in the Biblical stories.

 KidsMin Worship

Experience Worship

At FUMCPM the children remain in the Sanctuary on the first Sunday of every month.  Kids grab a FUMCPM worship bag from the tree stand in the Narthex to help them follow along with the service.  The bag includes their very own children's bulletin, plus some extra items to keep the wiggles under control.  The children also participate by singing special music on these Sunday's and participating in Holy Communion with their family.

Experiencing Worship as one body is important to help Children understand that they are not the future of the Church, they are the church right now.

KidsMin Worship is offered for children 3 years old through 5th grade during the 11:00 worship service, on the second and third Sunday's of the month.  After the children’s message, the children will follow Pastor Kim to the KidsMin Worship Space located upstairs above the sanctuary in the CEC building.  Here we focus on themes of the season and what it means to worship God.

KidsMin Worship through music takes place every fourth Sunday morning.  After the children's message, the children will follow Amy Mabry to the KidsMin choir Space located downstairs from the sanctuary in the CEC.  Here they will learn the importance of music in worship.
